I guess it's time to let go...

Well I'm officially starting the letting go process! I was talking to DS last night about the logistics of moving into his dorm the same week as the first week of school here in my town... being a teacher, there is no way I can miss the first week of school. So anyway, S informs me he doesn't need me to help him with the move, in fact would rather I not be there :(
The funny thing is he doesn't know he still needs me...I mean I produced a list of items he'll need to take up to Hendrix and he just rolled his eyes...Imagine, hangers? What a concept!

So I've decided to give the list to his girlfriend, let them shop together and hope he doesn't forget the essentials...at least there's a Walmart down the road. DH says we can check on him during Parent's Weekend. I can only imagine what his dorm room will be like. He'll probably be living out of the plastic bins he packed his stuff in. He actually was surprised when I told him he would have a dresser so he'll be able to unpack his clothes.

Boys...go figure!

Hang in there TXmom! i bet you a week after eating that cafeteria food (even though its not totally horrible) and being away, he will be calling you in no time! lol I know I called my mom because I got a little homesick at first. But yea, guys are so messy! Girls have so much more fun shopping for dorm stuff. Don't worry!
