I guess UCSD is the hottest UC right now

I'M CAROL!!!

Does anyone watch SNL?

Sonoma County, its northern CA. up in the wine country. where I come from is kind of an intense question to ask, because, this place does not fit one image, there are so many faces to it. first of all it has this crazy wealthy tourism thing (the winemaking), as well as one of the biggest gay communities in the US (on the river, in guerneville), hippies galore (which I love and have grown up with), country ranchers (yes I listen to country music), and a growing immigrant community (workers for the vineyards), there is some gang action etc nearby in santa rosa. if that description does it justice at all. and, I come from all of it. its all in me somewhere.
how about you?

another show tangent

I've driven past it! I'm from Orange County

i'm from norcal too

Scott, thanks. :} I try!

Hahaha. Man, I don't know how to respond to that CC head thing. The only reason I post so much is because of everyone else! <3

Senson, it is pretty true. Haha. I love to be a help or contribute in any way to these threads.

And-- Hi, Carol! Welcome! I hope all of us get to know each other soon!

all you norcal-folk realize as of next year you'll be in "anti-hella territory" right?

Cause I swear I'll kill the foo' that says hella.

i never really hear hella down here but i never really hear the hate for it either.. i don't ever hear any slang terms like that - or maybe i just don't know it.
lol i feel out of the socal-loop

A bit hostile, aren't we? :}

Nah---just reasonable :)

yeah, hella just doesnt sound very classy. Im from NY so i was just introduced to the word a while back in a South Park episode. Im just glad us NY-ers dont have any wacky slang that can allow us to be ridiculed.

Awww, Nor-Cal kids and their hella.

Get yo thizz-face on!

The only word we really have is 'like.' :(

everyone has like though, right? i don't even notice when i use it anyore. does the east coast use like?

i think dude is ours too....

i could only think of CS terms....

shank/ pwned/ owned/ w00t/ glocked/ rampage/ haxor/ nub ....

i missed those days

don't east coast use "wicked"

Yeah, Boston people use "wicked", and people from New Jersey say "ridic"...which is just weird.

i though wicked was british....

i think we use that's sweet.... that's dope.... let's blaze.... BTC...

british adolescents say "brilliant" or "brill" which I actually think is kinda cool...

I think SoCal can lay claim to all the surfer slang.

And I hear "Eyyy essayyy" at my school a lot. :</p>
