So I was looking at this page: http://www.utdallas.edu/enroll/apply/fprocess.php

And under the Assured Admission Criteria, it says you just have to fulfill the HS requirements and get at least a 1200 on the SAT right?

By the end of HS I will have completed all those requirements, and I haven't gotten my SAT score yet but I think it will be at least 1800 since I got a 183 on the PSAT. Does this mean that if I apply to UT Dallas I am guaranteed to get in? Does this change if I am out of state?

Also the admission deadline is July 1st. Isn't that a really late deadline considering most schools' are around November or December? So that means that I apply in July of my SENIOR year and if accepted go to school in September?

I'm currently a junior by the way.

Sorry if the answers to my questions are obvious, but I am very confused right now. Thanks for your help.

Basically, yes. It’s a state school and it’s designed to be easy to apply and straightforward to understand if you could get in.

You need to ensure that your high school curriculum matches the Texas recommended program linked to from the page you cited (it probably does, it’s standard stuff), but other than that you will be set.

Note that if you do leave it until June to apply you are unlikely to get much in the way of scholarships (e.g. " To ensure that prospective freshmen are considered for Academic Excellence Scholarship awards, they must be admitted to the University by March 31" Academic Excellence Scholarship - Office of Admission and Enrollment | The University of Texas at Dallas), which could make it pretty expensive for an OOS-er.

do not look at July 1st as a deadline. UTD offers rolling admissions. Means, if you apply in Aug 2nd week, they will tell the decision in two to three weeks. In another two to three weeks you will be notified about the AES scholorship.
