I have no idea what to do??

Hey guys, I am an incoming junior in high school with little knowledge of the outside world. I would say I'm a pretty decent student with a 3.9 cumulative UW gpa and around a 4.2 cumulative W gpa. I'm currently living in California but not born here but in some other state if that makes any difference. I am around in the top 15-20% of my school. I am currently taking a prep SAT course in which my highest practice score was only a 1660 which I am not proud of at all. My EC's include:
swimming my first two years of high school( made varsity sophomore year and plan on being captain next two years )

Very involved in KIWINs- I've been class rep, club treasurer, divisional service chair( and hopping to be divisional LTG or stay within the club and become president senior year )

Part of Fillipino club in which I am VP

A general member on CSF( California scholarship federation )

volunteer weekly at my local hospital

Part of a Tiger's Organization basketball team

So far I haven't take ANY AP's which really scares me because I am actually only going to take one my junior year along with 2 other honor classes as well. I took all regular classes freshman year and took 3 honors sophomore year in which I did quite well in.

My top schools I would like to go to are:
University of Irvine
University of Riverside
University of San Diego
Cal state Long beach
Cal state Fullerton
Cal state Los Angeles

I fear from applying to more selective schools because I fear I won't even be considered to be accepted

My top career choice would be to specialize in Cardiology. Any advice any of you would give to help out a confused student on what to do to succeed in the future? Thank you!

You’ve a lot of time to make adjustments. GPA is very important to UCs, but as you know the SAT, particularly the CR + M, needs to come up or you’ll perhaps want to take the ACT. Can your family afford any of these schools? have you run the net price calculators and talked to your parents about how much money they can give you each year? Figuring out how you’re going to pay for college, what scholarships you might be able to get are things to be doing this year. Are you for instance a URM or from a lower socioeconomic background? There’s nothing wrong with applying to prestigious schools if you raise the test scores and have a compelling essay and letters of rec. If the test scores don’t get above 2000, which could very well happen, there are great schools that don’t require standardized test scores. Do a CC search for them.

What I really don’t understand is the gpa inflation in HS. You have a 3.9UW and is only top 15%? and your SAT 1660?

What is top 1% in your school look like? To me 3.9UW is darn good, almost all A’s, you should be higher ranked.

In my old days, If some one got 80% in GPA, he might be top of the class. Of course it was not in the USA.
