You'll also get more replies if you list schools. :)

wow. I don't think I could possibly get any stupider.... yeah.. the schools I was going for were UChicago, UPENN, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Duke, and Cornell

bump...........

what's the number range for A+ at your school? 97%-100%?

wow straight A+'s from 9th to 11th grade? Awesome.

Your ECs are good, scores are relatively weak (most applicants to the schools you are applying to have higher scores), and your grades are awesome. You have good chances at all of them. I'd say UChicago, Duke, and Cornell is a match. Slight reach to reach for the others.

Aside from your grades and test scores, I only see a list of information. What makes YOU special?

thanks for all the input... and the number range for A+ in my school is 95-100%.... as for what makes me special..I'm kinda having a tough time with that since my activities don't really center around one thing... and I know that might make it seem like i'm resume packing, but I really like everything I'm doing..and also, my dance class isn't like jazz or pop, it's traditional Indian dance, setting me (hopefully) from others?

how do people manage straight A+'s in high school. Either the poster works very hard/ is a genius or the classes aren't as hard as those at most other high schools.

Well, my school doesn't have A+'s. Instead, we only have A's which also ranges from 95%-100%. Just do all your homework and be mindful of tests.

I suppose the question is, Luook, why does your 'special' dance deserve you a spot at a prestigious university? I think you would do better to focus on what makes you as a person stand out from the crowd. Try asking your friends what their favorite thing about you is... or something like that. Hopefully things work out!
