It looks like all 90 people post on this forum!

My sincere congrats to all finalist!

No special delivery today. Receiving the HC invite had our hopes up. S will move on to whatever is next. We feel almost certain that S will receive a South Carolina scholarship with OOS waiver, so there is little anxiety. Moreover, he received a scholarship and OOS waiver in November from the other fine university in the state of South Carolina (being from OOS we have no .. (to be cont.)

(continued)

dog in that rivalry .. yet!).

He will be attending one of the two next year and the choice will remain his. The playing field is now more level as the McNair would have probably made it a slam dunk decision in many ways.

I am very impressed with all who completed the McNair/HC application. As a science/technical oriented person, not so bent toward the liberal arts, I would have been intimidated by the HC application (would not have even considered it). I am proud of S just for the effort.

After weeks of reading posts, hoping, and anticipating an invite for S, I now look forward to some relaxing evenings!!

Congratulations to all...and keep looking in your mailboxes for the McKissick and Cooper Scholarships. Some of you might get those who did not receive the McNair invite. Those are good too...Mckissick is $2000, and Cooper $4000 per year, plus the instate tuition rate.

But we possibly have to wait until March to find out, and the suspense is killing us. S really, really wants to go to USC! Would love to get the Cooper tomorrow so he can get his paperwork done!

Oh well, I guess we can wait another month.

Well...I went for admission to USC based on little things that I had been told by cathymee and others...and I ended up being named a McNair finalist! Definetely a good way to cap off my day, when I received it!

I haven't visited USC though, so I don't know where it fits on my college list, but I am looking forward to the interview weekend as it will be my first time to visit what I've heard is quite a beautiful campus.

It's great to see at least one other Texan will be there! yay!

Hey guys PM me if you're going so we can chat and stuff and learn a bit about each other. I can't wait to meet you guys!!
