Hi, I have a big problem. I am trying to decide which college I should go to next year. My final three choices are Newhouse, Medill (Northwestern) and George Washington. newhouse is BY FAR my favorite since I am in love with SU..the people, the program, everything! the only problem is that i live two seconds away from the school. I need a change of scenery. so badly. I have heard the common "you dont feel like you are in syracuse at all" from people who attend and live in the syracuse area. I am not convinced though. Can someone please convince me. I want to go to syracuse but the fact that it is IN syracuse is a huge negative and might even make me choose another school. What im trying to say is. I WANT TO GO TO SYRACUSE! can someone who was in a similar situation please respond. thanks

Okay, you've said that you want to go to Syracuse, about 3 times in the thread, just go there. It's where your heart is. You're not living with your parents anymore, it's a change of scenery.

i have been told repeatedly that by the second year in college you start to appreciate being close to home....
