i love fairfield

I am going to Fairfield next year, to play lacrosse and I absolutely love the school. It's not a suitcase school at all, in fact the campus was completely full all weekend the four or five times I've stayed over night there. it's also not the easiest school to get into, especially the Dolan School of Business, because it is one of the best in the country. The social life was pretty normal for a college and in fact a lot more "sober" than some of the other schools I visited. it's really worth considering.

I found out at yesterday's open house that Fairfield is climbing the ranks in top colleges. They had 1,000 more applicants than last year and I was also shocked to find out that for engineering, they only accepted 20% of all the engineering prospective students that applied. One other thing is that it is not very diverse at all. I'm so use to having diversity. Even my lunch table at school is the "diversity" table because we have a student that represents at least one of the continents (except Antartica). Still Fairfield was a very nice school.

I'm kind of caught in a pickle. Fairfield, one of my safeties, offered me nearly a full ride, but the thought of being on the same campus for another four years is kind of depressing.

To me, the open house yesterday was sort of disappointing. That's probably because of the rainy weather. Still, if Fairfield was a school far from home, maybe I'd be more excited about going. I honestly do like the campus and I was floored by a lot of the girls that were at the open house...lol.

Fairfield really is my only choice right now, since Villanova and Boston University are too expensive for me. That is unless I somehow get off BC's waitlist and manage to get nearly the same financial aid package I got at Fairfield (very unlikely).

Well, I made my deposit at Fairfield yesterday. I hope to see you there in the fall. You never know...I just might end up loving Fairfield as much as kelbean99. I did enjoy the Dashboard Confessional concert there on Thursday. It was one of the best nights I've ever had with my friends. So maybe that's a good sign of things to come?

I'm leaning closer to going to Fairfield. Rensselaer and Valparaiso are my two other choices and Valpo is in Indiana and Rensselaer havily lacks girls.

Hey ya'll! I'm tryin to decide between Fairfield, University of Richmond, and GWU. I'm from Nashville, TN so very few people know about Fairfield, and I had never heard of it until this year. I visited once in February and I liked it, but now I have no idea where to go. I wasn't extremely impressed by the campus but I feel that the school is fun and has a lot to offer. Do people usually like Fairfield? Any advice? thanks

go to Richmond it is the best school overall and the campus is beautiful. The students are nice and it is a very strong liberal arts school. It will open more doors for you if you succeed for grad schools like MBA and Law school.

Fairfield from Nashville would be a huge diff. It would be a hard transition I would think. If you think you like Fairfield then go for it.
