First and foremost I would like to thank the people that have made this website. It has supplied me with endless laughs (I.e. Kids bemoaning their 2100+ SAT scores, completely over qualified applicants asking for chancing…), invauluable information on the most important parts of my college app process, and connected me with what I needed most- kids who are going through the same life experiences. We have the shared the pain of rejection, and the triumph of acceptances. While I still have yet to make my final decision, I do have one bit of advice to future classes. Take BOTH forms of standardized testing, and try your hand at a couple of SAT subject tests. I did not review the requirements for one of the hardest schools I applied to, which was very upsetting and played a huge part in my subsequent denial. However I have great confidence we will truly end up where we belong next fall. Once again thank you CC! Congrats to everyone and great luck to you all! Woooohoo class of 2012!
Great attitude, steeners. I laughed at “bemoaning their 2100+ SAT scores.” It certainly isn’t my son (a junior now). However, what he is doing is seeing how he can improve his weaknesses and he is exploring areas of interest and gathering info so he can make the best possible decision for himself (of course, his mother and I help him without telling him what to do).
Good luck with school.
