I missed the priority dealine for my school by a few days. Is there still hope?

The PRIORITY deadline for the University of Michigan is April 30th, five days ago. I already had my FAFSA sent in, but I never did the PROFILE. I plan on completing that today. The absolute deadline is June 1st. Today is May 4th, will I be able to get much money if I send it in today?

Notes:

I'm fairly sure I'm in the poorest percentile. I live only with my mom who makes less than $20,000 a year.

If you're wondering, the reason I missed it is because of my own ignorance. I didn't receive my acceptance notice until mid-April. (I applied way back in January). At that time, it had been a few months and I wasn't expecting UofM to accept me. So I started focusing on other schools and wasn't expecting UofM to accept me. When they did, it caught me off guard and I rushed to get the enrollment deposit in within the few weeks I had. In doing so, I skipped over the PROFILE requirement, and now, I fear it's too late for me.

I know, I'm stupid for overlooking the requirement. I have to have the forms in by June 1st, but I plan to have it in today, May 4th, five days after the PRIORITY deadline. Is there hope?

Would I be better off going to another school, waiting a year, etc?

Send it today.

Call the FA office at UM and talk to them.

I shall do as you say, sir.

Good luck and enjoy AA, it’s a great town and college!

I’m hoping you are in-state as Michigan meets need for in-state students. When you call just make sure you ask specifically if filing late will cause any problems with the university meeting your need. If you are out of state, that is a moot question as UofM does not guarantee to meet need.
