Instead of "allows" I put "allow" and I just realized it. Is not it terrible? will they pay a lot of attention to it? uhhhhh... anyone with similar experiences. I feel really bad about it.

good luck at stanford then....

anyway, please do a forum search, there have been a few threads about this.

Spelling is more important than the SAT and GPA combined.

Consider yourself auto-rejected.

I did not misspell it on stanford ones so dont worry. But.. is one word really that bad?

Yes. It is probably the worst thing in the world ever. I'd rather get an 800 out of 2400 on my SAT then misspell one word.

... You guys are funny... Calm down.

I spelled "sun screen" as "sun scream" on my application and I didn't get rejected. Chillax!

You can reassure him all you want Yoda but it's true, a misspelling, especially at an ivy, means carelessness and lack of concern.

Well I was in ESL, so my essays sound genuine. :D

I don't know what ESL means

... =.=

English as Second Language...

oh so you have an excuse.
what does ...=.= mean?

=.= is just(i am pretty sure) a face thingy.lol

btw- i was an esl student back in 9th grade. we rock!lol

Well that face thing doesn't make any sense.

omg. I loled so hard and think I just peed in my pants a lil

UZZhan that's disgusting. You should clean yoself up. Do you think colleges want a kid with poor motor functions? This could really hurt your chances.

no sir! I'm gonna go take a shower right now, and then send a picture of myself all cleaned up to harvard, and just wait for my acceptance letter. :p

Smart thinking! I wish I did that when it happened to me and I was applying. I think it really hurt my chances.

It's not too late!
If you take a bubble bath, and go to CVS where they have 24/7 photo printing, you can get the picture to the post office tomorrow before the Jan 1st deadline.
HURRY HURRY HURRY!

calm down UZZhan. You've taken things too far now.
