Georgetown says that they require ALL Sat and ALL Sat Subject tests to be sent to their school. I sent my SAT’s yesterday. I sent all my SAT tests, but I only sent my three best Subject Tests (I had taken 2 other SAT 2’s that I got bad scores on and I didn’t send them). Will Georgetown know that I choose not to send my two bad subject tests? Should I send in the two bad subject tests?
The way I read it is that they “strongly recommend” you to send 3 SAT2’s. With respect to each SAT2 you send, you need to send all scores if you took any of them multiple times. You might want to call the AO anonymously to confirm.
This is what Georgetown says on their application:
“Georgetown does not allow the use of Score Choice, and as such you are required to send Georgetown the results of all SAT Reasoning Tests, SAT II Subject Tests and ACT exams you have taken.”
If I call the AO, won’t they know that it is me based on my phone number? How can I call anonymously?
These are not the most important elements to your app. Knock the rest out of the park and they may think this was a simple mistake. Focus on your essays and rec letters and other parts of the app now.
My D called with this question. She had done very well on her ACT and her 3 subject tests, and not as well on the SAT. She was worried her SAT score would detract from her other scores. (It didn’t, she was admitted EA). The admissions office told her they want scores for every test you have taken. I don’t know if they have a way of knowing from the College Board if you haven’t sent everything, but my D didn’t want to take the chance. If you’re worried about calling anonymously to ask the question, then borrow a friend’s cell phone.
