I need help. Please.

My name is Lucas, I am an international student from France and I just finished my third semester at Santa Monica College. I applied to all UCs and no CalStates.

Now I have a big problem. I had severe issues this semester regarding my health. My friend from France passed away and I couldn't attend his funeral due to school, I got diagnosed with ADHD, and I had severe sleeping disorders. On top of that I took WAY TOO MANY credits, 22 units in one semester.

Now that the semester is over, I had time to recover and relax and I am starting to freak out because my grades did not turn out very well. I have now a GPA of a 3.24. I got Bs in 17 out of the 22 credits, and a D in Calculus which I am repeting in Spring and I am confident I will get an A. (I just never had time to study this semester)

Now I don't really know what to do. Should I keep on with the application process, see what happens or should I cancel them out and just stay at Community College for another 2 semesters? Do u guys know whether it will hurt my chances to be accepted to a UC at a later point if I get rejected this time?
Furthermore, is there even any chance I will be accepted to a UC, considering that my GPA is raised with straight As in my next semesters. What other schools would I have a shot at? USC? How about Pepperdine or Loyola? I don't wanna go to CalState!

Please help me, I would really appreciate it!! I am really freaking out here.

I will leave your thread here because you ask questions about schools other than the UCs. However, you should also start a thread on the UC transfer subforum and ask the UC questions there.

I would really appreciate if someone could give me some advice.
