Ok, so that was a pitiful attempt at emulating Kanye West. However, I'm currently in the middle of a hellish week with insane amounts of work, and no desire to do ANY of it.

Can y'all post the things/quotes/moments/whatever that motivates you? I'm sure we can all use some shared advice :)

Umm maybe have your parents electrocute you evertime your not doing your work? Or go streaking through town and make a huge embarassment out of yourself. It goes all over the news and newspapers and the only way to get out of your self-embarassment is to study so you can go to an out of state university.

I can't offer any help, but I'll commiserate with you.

I have to read a 100 pages of a book by tomorrow, I've gotten Ds on the last two Latin tests (I have another tomorrow), I haven't been practicing guitar nearly as much as I should be, and I don't really care....

Basically, the work never ends, and when you THINK it has ended and you can finally relax, there is more work. Last week of senior year - still work to do. Work through college, work after college, work in the retirement home trying to fix the Rascal scooter. There's probably even work to do in Heaven, and definitely in Hell.

But you'll find that when you get a break from work, it's unimaginably boring. So keep working, lads and lasses. Keep it up.

There was a shopping center two blocks from my high school where kids who dropped out or didn't go on to college worked. That was pretty strong motivation.

Work now=good college in 1-4 years=great job in 5-10 years=anything you want
