I need to retake a failed Fall class, can I do it over the summer?

I got a D in Statistics this Fall. I was planning on retaking the class next semester, but all the spots are full. Would I still be able to retake the class over the summer and have my failing grade replaced?

If you are using the class for IGETC, you would have to take it by Spring of 2010 if you are transferring in Fall.

Yeah, you have to complete everything by Spring of 2010. My advice, petition your ASS off to get into that class, talk to the professor in advance and explain that if you don’t take this class you will have to stay an additional year. They usually feel bad for you and just let you in.
Good luck!!

If you can, put yourself on a waitlist for the class. If that’s full as well, show up for the first week or 2 anyways. People usually drop math classes after a little while.

I’m staying at my CC for 3 years. I have a lot of pre-reqs to complete and its simply impossible to finish it all in 2 years. So let’s see, I’ll be transferring in Fall 2012?

The class isn’t for IGETC. I switched majors so Statistics isn’t a class I need to transfer, however it’s going to hurt my GPA. I just want to know if I can retake it over the summer and still have the grade replaced. Like I said, I’m not transferring in 2 years, so I doubt these rules apply to my case?

And I’m not sure why my post appeared up there…
