I need your help

Ok, so I am from California and applied to Texas. I applied as business and undeclared. As I suspected, I didn't get into the business program but I did get in as undeclared. I desperately want to go to Texas but at the same time, I really want to get into the business program (and not do business foundations). Do you think it is a good idea for me to go undeclared and try to apply to business later? I am sure I will be able to maintain a good gpa. Also, if I were to go in undeclared and try to transfer to business later, would the fact that I came from California come into consideration?

And does texas give out a lot of financial aid? It is a bit costly for me to come from California but I really want to go to the school. Thanks!

If you really want to go here, and you are committed to getting into the Business school, you'll find it very possible( I know several people who did it, and let's say they had too easy a time). Being an OOS student has no bearing on a internal transfer as far as I know. As far as the money is concerned, if you want to come here, I would look at non-school affiliated scholarships. Our school doesn't give out much in that sense, and I would think that being OOS makes you less likely to get money, especially if you didn't get into the Business school straight off.

Thank you, that really helped.
