I never got an interview invitation?

I applied to northwestern, supplement and all, about a month and a half ago and I never received an invitation :/ What's really frustrating is when my friend who applied on the 31st of December received one and forwarded it to me all the available interview spots were taken. If I had been able to receive an invite 2 weeks or even a month after I'd applied, I'd probably have gotten a spot =.=

I don't know if I should take this as a sign that they aren't interested and don't want me or that they don't need the interview to let me in. I'm really debating whether or not I should finish applying to ISP, especially after my lack luster HPME application now, if it's a sign that I'm not going to get in. Has anyone else applied earlier than usual and had the same thing happen to them?

Interviews are not a requirement for Northwestern, but you can sign up for an interview. Check out this link:

Admission Interviews: Office of Undergraduate Admission - Northwestern University

1 kid admiited RD,
1 kid admitted ED
0 interviews.

You don’t need an interview at NU.

Not only are interviews not required, Admissions goes so far as to say:

Adding to nugraddad’s data points:
1 kid admitted RD,
0 interviews.

Good luck!

Wendeli is talking about HPME process, for which an interview is needed.

Lol no not the HPME one. I seriously doubt I’ll get called up to the interview for that. I’m merely talking about the normal interview. Thanks for the info.

Another data point, one kid admitted RD, no interview. I really wouldn’t worry if you can’t arrange for an interview.

@Nugraddad : you said one kid got admitted under RD. I guess RDs won’t come out until March or April. Could you please confirm if it is undergrad RD?

@pgans - they were admitted RD in a prior year. No RD decisions are out yet this year. ;)
