status and hpme

I already turned in my NU app, but didn't recieve any kind of notification from them yet. what about you guys?

did anyone get contacted for interview yet?

also for hpme, are we notified if things are recieve/missing? if we are having a alumi interview, is that different from the hpme interivew?

thanks

How long ago did you turn in the app? Don't they say to allow 30 days for notification that they received it (or am I thinking of some other school)?

I submitted mine last night :)

oh i turned it in on the 16th I will wait longer I guess

interview notifications should be coming up in january. they notified current HPMEs about hosting overnight stays last month and said that they would be occurring during January and February.

I'm not sure if you get notified if there is anything is missing, but you should definitely call to make sure everything gets there on time.

Also, the alumni interview is not the same as the HPME interview. The HPME interview is a day long series of interviews (much more difficult than the alumni interview)

wait jonthelin, the interview for HPME is selective right? also is it safe to assume that if you are invited for the HPME interview, you are you pretty much accepted into northwestern?

wait, what's HPME?

Anyway, I thought the alumni interviews weren't for admissions purposes?

i'd think the hpme people would cross-check with the adcom before sending out the invitation for interview. that's just my guess.

if you get an HPME interview, you are accepted into Northwestern. It would not make sense for them to fly you over to Chicago if you were going to be outed by default. and yes, HPME interviews are invitation only. (it's totally worth it though, the program is awesome :D )

I'm really looking forward to meeting all you interviewees in the next 2 or 3 months!

wait by flying over, does that mean i have to pay my own airfare? just wondering lol

yes, you have to pay for your own airfare.
