Well, it's just come to my attention that you're supposed to abbreviate the University of Pennsylvania into "Penn" and not "UPenn". Unfortunately, I used "UPenn" multiple times throughout my application essay.

Is this a significant blunder? Should I be worried about it?

I am sure admissions officers get a mix bag of abbreviations. The only way that it could possibly be a problem is say the admin hates when applicants uses UPENN and is irritable when reading your file and they auto-reject you hahaha, but that of course is highly unlikely.

Great minds think alike! I admit i did the same thing and I hugely regret putting UPenn instead of Penn. but its too late to worry about it now… :/

I had a similar worry with UChicago; my interviewer kept saying “U of C” and I used “UChicago” in my essay and stuff. Note that UChicago is used on their website, and upenn.edu is the web address of Penn.

Either way - not a big deal. Everyone I know calls it “UPenn” except me :P.
