<p>I worked at a fast food restaurant throughout the summer, but with 5 APs, studying for SATs/SAT IIs, writing college essays, member/leader of various clubs, passionate about community service/helping others, I thought it would be best to quit my job so I could focus on things that are more important to me. But I've been seeing how significant holding a job is when applying to college, and I am afraid that quitting will look bad and hurt my chances.</p>
<p>Why not get another job and not mention your old one?</p>
<p>its fine. Many students have summer jobs that they cannot continue in the school year.</p>
