...to some of the colleges im looking at. i just realized i dont really have a backup plan.

i was pretty confident in myself until i started reading other peoples "chances" threads, who have all these EC's and like 16 AP classes with independent study at colleges and win all these statewide events. maybe i'm just psyching myself out, since its only a small number of those people who do that.

plus everyone talks about spending months on these essays. i dont get how you can write an essay and revise it so much - might as well write a new one.

i dont know. sorry if im just rambling.

just a period of self reflectance.

As ajayc put it,

we have lived in the CC land for too long! :)
Do you think only those people apply and get in?

So yeah, you'll see a lot of 2250's or 4.8's or whatever, but they're probably the upper batch of accepted kids..

You'll have backups like Knox, Dayton, Cornell (Iowa), Denver, BHM So. College, etc. that accept over 75% of appicants. You'll be getting in somehere. When my wife was applying to med school we followed others #s at studentdoctor.net and she worried like you, now she's finishing her 4th yr and applying for residencies. There is a school for you out there, and even if it's not your top-choice, it will become your school and most likely you'll never look back...
