Honestly, this laptop has it all. Compact and incredibly light. A nice aluminum chasis, which keeps it cool. It comes 4gb of RAM and a graphics card. The i3 is a bit weak, but really its 2.4ghz since its dual core. It comes with an overclocking feature though for people who don't know how to do it in the BIOS (I intended to get rid of it with a clean install of windows 7). You won't really need that strong of a processor, but it can probably run star craft 2.

The battery life is something I can't yet comment on, but I hear its excellent. I'm also excited to finally get windows 7. I've been meaning to upgrade my desktop's RAM to 4gb from 2 and install windows 7, but never got around to it. So far it seems pretty good.

I saw this at Best Buy yesterday in fact. I gave it a good looking over and was a little disappointed with the weight and battery life.

So wait, is every i3 a 2.4ghz processor? I’m considering getting it depending on when the U35JC actually comes out and what people say about it.

EDIT (found this on one of the best buy reviews for it):

PROCESSOR: This is kind of tricky to understand: the processor is indeed 1.2 Ghz for the i3, but ASUS’s Turbo 33 Technology (see picture attached) can overclock the processor, pushing it to ~1.73 Ghz. You might say that it’s still bad but keep in mind that duo core means 1.73 x2 = 3.46 GHz of raw processing power

Nope, i3s have different clock speeds. The UL80 in question is a 1.2 GHz i3.

For most users, the 1.2 GHz i3 would still be more than enough power. However, for people who do gaming, media editing, CAD, engineering, or those who just want to futureproof, the U35JC/U45JC would be a better choice.
