I signed up for the SAT II World History test... did I make a horrible mistake

I've always been interested in world history and it was my favorite class in sophomore year. The thing is though that my school didn't offer AP World History class so my knowledge of world history is superficial at best.

I have about three weeks to learn all the material. I've been studying over the weekend and the amount of content seems overwhelming. Is it realistic to continue studying or should I just scrap the test? For those of you who have taken the test, how is it? My Barron's SAT II test book seems to be very specific about everything making me a bit worried about the actual test.. thanks!!

It’s a lot easier than the AP I can tell you that. Personally, I think you should wait until June unless you are ready. If you don’t do as well as you hoped for, you can always retake it in June. If you’re self-studying for the AP, you should be able to do well. The good thing is it is just the multiple-choice, which isn’t too difficult in my opinion.

Don’t worry, I’m in the SAME EXACT boat as you are!

I have 2 weeks to cram, and my knowledge of World Hist. is also superficial at best.

Good luck though.

I’m using PR’s book.

From what I remember, most of the questions were related to Europe. A lot of World History actually coincides with European history.
