I thought I was to have 4 free score reports

I didnt send my scores before.... and now when I try to send them in the collegeboard is trying to charge me to send to four schools????

BTW: the score report includes all scores .... SAT I and SAT II alike correct?

All current and previous SAT scores (both I and II) taken while you are in high school will be sent. To get the 4 free scores sent you must request them with your registration or you can add them online to your registration up to a few days after you take the exam (I think itis 4 days after). If you haven't done it, then you will be charged.

My S took the SAT I in March and sent the score to 4 schools that didn't require SAT II's. He the took the SAT II's in October and sent all scores to 4 more schools. He had to pay to send the scores to one additional school.

Hope this helps.

It helps but when I came here asking the same question I was told it did not matter when I sent the scores.. that I would still have the "four free send-score" option to use whenever I wanted to .

This is from the colleboard website - Scores FAQ's:

I'm undecided about where I want my score reports sent. When do I have to make a final decision?
You receive four free reports as part of your registration fee. If you are undecided about where to send your scores, you can add or change your score recipients online. If you registered by mail use the Correction Form that is enclosed with your Admission Ticket to make these changes. You have up until the day of the test to submit the Correction Form to add or change score recipients.

I beleive that you have a few extra days if you do the online change, but I'm not positive.

If I were to take the SAT's sometime early in my junior year, and I haven't decided on a list of colleges to apply/send my scores to, does that mean I won't be able to use the free score reports?

Yes, but don't stress out about it. It really isn't that much to send them later, and it is ridiculous to develop a (somewhat) final college list junior year.

You can use the four free scores if you want. However, if you take the SAT again and do better, and send 4 free scores to different schools, the new 4 schools will get both score and the 1st 4 schools will only have your 1st test.

My S took the old SAT in both Nov and Jan of his Junior year and didn't send scores, but took the new SAT in March and sent them to 4 schools (none of which consider the SAT II's). In June he took his fisrt round of SAT II's and sent them to 4 more schools, and finally then this fall he has taken his last SAT II's and sent them to 2 more schools (both require 2 SAT II's) plus AFROTC and Navy ROTC. In all, 12 free reports from 5 testings.

Also note, many schools now will accept copies of SAT reports or reporting of SAT score if your guidance counselor includes them on your HS transcript, FREE reporting (Purdue, Case Western, Carnegie Mellon, U. Arizona, Villanova, Wash. U-St. Louis are just some of the schools). Also remember that it only costs $9 to have your scores sent if you need to, just don't get in a bind and have to have scores rushed.
