<p>dude uci and ucsd are prety much the same. don't worry both are good schools.</p>

<p>Hey- give UCI a chance. You might just like it there. It may not be the most social UC, but being a UC, it has solid academics...and Irvine is close to the beach. If you don't like it, go to community college, then transfer to UCSB or wherever you wanted to go. If I were in your shoes....I'd go to UCI though.</p>

<p>The UC system admissions is toally facked up. Plenty of people with less than impressive stats are going to UCLA and Cal, all it takes is a good essay and major choice. </p>

<p>why would you go to SD? Dude SD and Irvine are pretty much the same. In fact UCSD is soooo involved in Bio research and other stuff that the teachers spend less time teaching.</p>
