I want to send in my Common App main essay

I know MIT has an additional info section...but I put in an engineering essay in that section. I feel with my Common App main essay, MIT can get to know me more on a personal level.

I sent in my application already, but is there a way I can additionally send in this essay? Thanks.

You could if you wanted to, but it probably wouldn’t change much. Admissions officers already have a load of files to read and information to go over - they might not appreciate another five hundred words to read through if it isn’t incredible.

Send it by mail  (but remember to write your full name and date of birth)

er, exactly whats the email address? sorry, but the website is confusing a little.

No, I meant mailing. You should find it at the bottom of the website or at the top of the teacher evaluation form.

If you’re intent on sending it, send it by mail. As in real life.

I don’t think they accept supplementary material via email.

Check out [MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: “Supplemental Materials”](http://www.mitadmissions.org/topics/apply/the_freshman_application/supplemental_materials.shtml)

“Anything else. As #14 on the application part 2 says, we know that no admission application can meet the needs of every individual. If you think that additional information or material will give us a more thorough impressions of you, feel free to provide that information or material. You can do this through the online application or mail things in to MIT Admissions. Please include your full name and date of birth.”
