I have this commonapp essay that I really want to show MIT adcoms. IT reall shows who I am. However, I cannot put this in additional info section because I have to explain my special circumstance. So, the only choice I have is sending this essay by a mail, but I am not a fan of sending a mail; I am just worried that they might not get my additional essay.
Any one have any ideas????

Send it by mail. I sent my main application essay by mail, and it got there just fine.

If you are really worried that it won't get there, you can usually order package tracking at the post office for an extra fee.

ok, I guess I will be sending my additional essay by mail.
If I call MIT later, can I check if they received my additional essay?

Definitely. Or you could just email them at admissions [at] mit [dot] edu.

Good luck!

Go to the POST OFFICE and tell the representative to send the letter via first class mail or Priority mail and ask for DELIVERY CONFORMATION by which you will know that MIT has got your mail. It costs only $1 more than the regular price of mail: $0.42/First class and $4.25/priority.
