I was accepted, but my unweighted GPA last quarter was just barely under 3.0, what now?

I’m enrolled in 6 ap classes and 1 elective class this year. This last quarter, I kept all of my APs in the As and Bs, but I slacked terribly hard in my elective course and got an F for the quarter, which made my unweighted GPA 20/7 = 2.87. My weighted GPA was 26/7 = 3.71.
I read in a message from UCB that I am supposed to inform them via email if my unweighted GPA for a term is below 3.0. Do you think they will revoke my admission?
I’ve already started talks with my guidance counselor to try to withdraw-pass from the elective (i got an A in both of the first two quarters so my full year grade is currently a D) but UCB also said that I need to inform them if I change my schedule. Alternatively I could not drop the elective and I would be able to bring my final grade to a B.

So I guess the point is, how damning is having my GPA duck just below 3.0? Do you all think they will revoke my admission with no mercy, and do you think withdrawing from the course would help? I would like to think that my position of having good grades in 6 ap classes and just making a classic lazy senior mistake in an elective could spare me.

I would let them know about your situation ASAP. They are understanding and I highly doubt that they would rescind your acceptance. I wouldn’t worry too much. Just make sure to communicate with the admissions office.

It matters, does your final transcript show quarter grades or is it semester grades?

@CollegeGoer789 The final transcripts of my school only show final grades, and only the final grades influence my GPA. Can you elaborate?

@Aarashy I recommend contacting the school immediately.
