Hey everyone, as my topic states, I'm worried about getting my admission revoked.
First semester I had a 3.88 GPA weighted, 2.88 Unweighted. The only thing is that my school does use +'s and -'s. Without them, I'd have a 3.0 GPA UW.
I had a C, B- B- A B. Does this put me at risk of getting revoked?

at risk? YES!

you meet the cutoff, don’t go any lower.

I mean, do they take the -'s into account? If not then I have a solid B average

They do NOT use + and -. But it is UNWEIGHTED, each semester. You are fine. Just. Don’t screw up Spring semester.

Wait it’s unweighted?? Oh crap…

yes, unweighted. If it was weighted, people can get like 3 C’s or even more if they have lots of APs.

What am i going to do… I got a 2.888 first semester…

Contact them. I think they are OK as long as you get an overall unweighted 3.0 according to another thread I read

yeah, let them know asap so they won’t assume you’re “hiding” something from them.

If it was unweighted I could get straight C’s and still pull a 3.0. I’m slightly worried about this because I have really been slacking so far, but only in a few classes that I need to get up. And I’ve also heard they won’t automatically rescind you if you get under a 3.0 UW, but don’t count on it

Okay, thanks a lot guys. I’m going to ask for my transcript tomorrow then contact Cal.

Read this

masterhammy, 3.0 Unweighted is straight B’s, meaning that getting straight C’s would equal a 2.0

I’m going to call them tomorrow, and confirm everything.

I’m literally shaking and extremely nervous right now… I might get rescinded… Does anyone have any stories about this? I’m going to call tomorrow.

last year… i was scared i went to cal day and asked them they told me 3.0 overall unweighted…

Oh and do elective classes count towards the unweighted gpa?

Only the ones reported on the app count

yea
only those on a-g on app.

@kykla: Sorry, I meant if it was weighted I could get straight C’s because all my classes are weighted
