you should call in and ask.
I am pretty sure its 3.0 all throughout the year, including your semester.
For example, when you send in your mid year reports, you should have had a 3.0 gpa (That is if, you were accepted through early decision/action/rolling). I know for my school, students accepted through early decisions are suppose to hold a 3.0 gpa for their mid year reports, and for those who were accepted through regular, need to keep a 3.0 gpa, as do the ED acceptees. I'm sure your 2.6 gpa will not get you completely revoked. I had a friend who was in a simliar situation last year, but all she got was a probation letter from the school (same school as mine). If you're that worked up, just call in and tell them about what happend, and if there are no valid excuses, you should at least try to make some valid-sounding-excuses. Mention your tough senior courseload.

If I recall correctly, the 3.0 gpa, my college wanted me to keep was UNweighted. But if could be different for the UCs. Call in. It's the best source. don't listen to the rumors. PM me if you have any more questions (I've done a little bit of research on this matter as well lol). Lemme know how it goes.
