I was deferred from Bing and want to know what you think...

I applied to Binghamton early action and was deferred to Regular Admission, and I wanted to know what exactly I can do to increase my chances of actually getting in and what my chances of getting in actually are.

I went to a private school in Brooklyn NY

My stats are:
GPA of 91
ACT score of 30 (31 on english, 25 on math, 33 on reading, 30 on science, and 30 on the writing section)
taken and did well on 7 different NY State regents (Chemistry,Bio, Trig, Algebra, Geometry, World History, and Hebrew)
very strong college essay
high 90s in AP biology, AP Environmental Science, and AP Psychology

Extracurriculars:
swim team
choir
school newspaper
play scenery crew
senior mentorship program
peer tutoring program

I also have at least 3 volunteer organizations I've taken part in as well a long standing summer job as a lifeguard for the past 4 years

You shouldn’t have any problem getting into Binghamton with those stats. I’m not sure how Early Decision works, so I can’t tell you why you got deferred.

What was your essay about? Was it the generic SUNY essay about why you wanted to transfer to Bing, blah blah, etc?

^there was no essay. Or at least if there was, I never wrote it. Lol

There is a required essay on the application supplement. Did you apply online using the Common Application? The essay doesn’t appear on the suny app, if I remember correctly, but it is required. Call their admissions office and make sure they have everything they need from you.
