Hi everyone! This is one of my first posts on here. I've been looking at it quite a lot but I never got around to remembering what my password is until now. :) I just got back from orientation today. I thought I might warn you: when they say to bring a fan, they mean it! I thought that I could survive, but wow, it was super hot in the dorms! The food isn't anything to write home about either. :-/ Overall, orientation was quite fun. Yes, there were some boring parts. Yet it was a good experience! If you have any questions about it I'd feel free to answer them!

Did you get all the classes you wanted? Could you pick the class section (prof) if there was more than one?

I envy you for getting to go so early :)

I did get all the classes I wanted! :) It takes about 2 hours to actually go through wolverine access and make your schedule. I would recommend at least looking at the classes online. If you click "view sections" you will be able to see prof/time/location/# of spots available, and lots of other fun information! My advisor was really helpful. You definitely get to pick all aspects of your schedule which is great! After I talked with my advisor and before having the "wolverine access backpacking session", I went to the fishbowl and (on the super cool macs with two screens might i add) went on ratemyprofessors.com and checked up on some good profs for the classes that I have. They also reserve spots in some classes for the later orientation dates. The only problem with that is that some people were told to check every day to see if any spots were opened, and if they were, they were allowed to sign up. :-/. Good luck!!

hey gotta question. I checked up on wolverineaccess and for the bio class i want there are only 55 seats remaining between the 2 classes. What if they fill up before i get to orientation? does that mean i get screwed and no bio for the yr or should i not worry cause there are always SOME intro to bio courses available for all freshmen?

so there's completely NO air conditioning in any rooms???

Hehehe, I think Michigan is a tad bit cooler than Hong Kong man, even during summer, I wouldn't worry TOO much about that. A fan should suffice.

well i have air con
