Hey there! So I know my profile is super blank (I just created it), but I've been reading these forums for as long as I can remember. I'm a senior preparing to apply, mainly to Liberal Arts schools such as Davidson, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan, and Hendrix. I would love some thoughts on my Common App essay! I chose the first prompt: "Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story."

A few things about myself, to assist in fleshing out the essay -

I plan on studying English, but might give the sciences a shot as well.

I am a homeschool student, but have taken all of my classes either at an outside learning center, or dual-enrolled at the college level (but not CC, a local university).

I have a ton of community service hours (around 2500), and more than half are from a single position I have held at a respected public science institution in my city. Many of my extracurricular/community service/leadership activities are related to the sciences. (I would say more, but I don't want to break the "no personal information" rule.)

My test scores are solid - 33 ACT, 4.0 GPA, and a 5 on the only AP test I was able to take (English Lit). I also got As in the college classes I took.

I hope this wasn't way to much information or long-winded or anything, but I think it is easier to review someones essay when you know a bit more about them. Thank you so much in advance. If you want someone to review your essay, I would be happy to take a look! (But no guarantee my thoughts will be useful/worth reading!)
