I'm currently in grade 11 and since IB exam scores aren't out until after college admission decisions are made, I'm planning to take some AP exams.

I'm thinking of taking a few from these subjects:
Chem, Bio, Human Geography, Math, French language

i've taken... (1st semester)
IB English 11 SL
IB French 11 SL
IB Chem 11 HL

and now i'm taking (2nd semester)
IB Math 12 HL
IB Geography 11 HL
IB Bio 11 SL
IB French 12 SL

I'm just wondering if there's any IBers who took AP exams by self studying.
Are they around the same level as IB exams? Should I start studying on my own for them now? Any tips or advices?

I'm an IBer taking AP exams. Most IB HL classes are equivalent to their AP counterparts, but this isn't always the case. AP Psychology, for example, has the same value as IB Psychology SL.

Considering your Math HL background, I would highly recommend taking an AP Calc class, particularly Calc BC. Math HL is slightly harder than Calc BC, so if you're already good at math, you won't have much of a problem. Human Geography is considered to be a BS AP because it's so extremely easy. You can take it alongside another AP exam without too much trouble. I just saw that you're taking Geography HL, so you will only need to review for the AP exam if you decide to take it. Since you're taking chem HL, you could easily do AP chem HL.

As for French, what's the class? Is it a Language B class? A2? Ab inicio?

As you probably know, most colleges do not award credit for IB SL classes. I think it would be kind of useless to take an AP exam in an HL class because you would gain the same amount of university credit for both classes, although it would be easy.
