IB Math HL or AP Calc BC?

Hey guys,

I am currently a junior, and I am currently taking the first year of the IB HL Math course at my school.

Next year, I have the option to take either the second year of the IB HL Math, or I can take AP Calculus BC.

I'm not an IB diploma candidate, so I want to switch to the AP Calc, but I am unsure about which class colleges would rather see.

Help me out?

If you’re not in the IB Diploma, do the AP BC class.

But if you have a firm grounding in math, which Math HL helps you with, the BC test should require less than a week of review/additional self-study.

If you take IB Math HL, you should be able to take both the IB exam and the AP Calc BC exam with minimal extra studying. Or at least, that’s what I have heard from my teacher and friends who are in IB Math HL. I am currently taking IB Calc SL, so the same would apply for me except with AP Calc AB.
