Can somebody give some suggestions/clues on IB program? Is it a good choice for US university admission?
I guess it won't be good for Canadian university admission/scolarship. Anybody has similar thoughts?

Thanks

Hi Profsnape,

IB programs are very well received by US colleges, particularly if you are a Canadian (or other international) since it gives colleges a good measure of what your school’s curriculum is like. A rigorous curriculum has become one of the most important measuring sticks to judge an applicant’s academic strength (more so than AP), so yes, if you are looking to go to a US school definitely think about doing the IB. If your school offers it and you do not take it, you may even want to explain to schools why you did not take IB, as they will otherwise think that you took the easy route.
