I want to go to an Ivy league School, I am willing to take the hardest classes? I stand out from my grade but the problem is I probably won’t be doing the IB Diploma(that is what I am feeling now) as it will stop me from taking two sciences? The “top” of the school are doing it?
So is doing the whole program mean rigor and otherwise not?
These are the classes I will be taking (Just dropping TOk because otherwise I can’t take Ap Physics C)
IB English 1
IB History 1
AP Calc BC
AP Physics C
IB CS 1
Spanish
IB VA
IMO that schedule is no less rigorous than a full IB schedule, but talk to your counselor and ask them if your schedule would be enough to earn “most rigorous” distinction on the Common App.
@IAmNotCreativ Yeah they do count it as most rigorous apparently a lot of people don’t do TOk in my school, only about 50 do from class of 400 students.
I think you have your answer about rigor.
Getting into a top school is a crapshoot, you can’t ever be sure of your chances, all you can do is work hard and get good grades, participate in ECs you care about and hope for the best.
@IAmNotCreativ Yeah thanks, you too!!
