Idea topics

Well, I am only going to be a sophomore, but I love to write. (usually poetry). I am bored, an have no motivation for a piece of poetry, so I have decided that I am going to attempt to write a college admissions essay (from the common app) just for fun. It can't hurt right?:P
Here are my idea topics so far..

How bullying in the seventh grade led to my bitterness/ competitiveness that compells me to be successful. (on the track, with grades, and helping others)

How helping a special needs gym class everyday in 8th grade taught me that acceptance is a virtue and that more has to be done to help special needs children. (specifically mention how I was the first person in the school to get an autistic girl to talk to anybody but 1 teacher and her best friend)

How being with my 3 year old cousin (brother) has taught me that you cannot look at everything in life through one perspective. (will also mention volunteer work with children)

How you can find acceptance in the strangest of places. (drama club with gays after being a conservative christian (I'm not Christian anymore) and on a stage that I used to be afraid of).

So are my ideas bogus? Which one should I write? Any tips?

Thanks!!!

I like number 3, and that’s also the kind of essay admissions people like.

*I meant to say Number 2.

Thanks! My personal favorites are 1 and 2. I like 3 and 4 for their creative aspects, but I can express myself more seriously in 1 and 2.

You’d need to watch out with #1, that it doesn’t paint you as still being a bitter, excessively competitive person. It’s a good topic, but you don’t want to be seen as being a difficult person to deal with. I like #2 as well. :)
