I thought this thread was going to be a discussion about Glenn Beck.

“And as a 4-year cheerleader, you guys are lucky we even performed for you unappreciative bastards.”

At my school the cheerleaders were ghetto as hell.

You do realize you’re posting on CC, right?

I don’t know what a pep rally is. It sounds interesting. I guess whether or not it is fun depends on the student and the school.

My school, during every athletics day and swimming sports day (yes, a day of swimming races) have our crazy spirit battles (between the boarders and day students) and singing. And we all dressed in one color according to our ‘clans’ (they’re like in boarding schools where they have ‘houses’). But other NZ schools don’t really have that either.

Fine, don’t perform. See how much I care. The only thing I like about watching cheerleaders is that they wear next to nothing. I don’t want anything more from them.

Anyways, I like pep rallies. I’m the drum major of the band so I get out of class an hour early to prepare (read: sit in the band room with other “preparing” kids). Then I’ll lead part of the band in while everyone goes wild and we play the football team’s theme song and everyone loves it. This part is truly fun, quite an adrenaline rush with everyone watching me. Then I leave and go home.

Why are cheerleaders so disliked? I mean, chances are that the cheerleaders on CC are not the same ones as the one from your HS. My sister wants to be a cheerleader. She’s not even 10 years old, but she’s really flexible and loves making up mini routines of cartwheels and little stunts.

Well, the reason I don’t like them (and I suspect many others would agree) is their general attitude. The cheerleaders AT MY SCHOOL are generally lazy. They’re smart because I’ve known them since elementary but they dumb themselves down. They drop all classes that are remotely challenging. They have an air of superiority about them. They relish attention in the halls and class. They just show no signs of serious thought. Also, they do some pretty serious hazing. These are just some thoughts that came to mind, and they don’t typify all cheerleaders.

You guys are all ****ing morons. Just because a cheerleader rejected you or you got rejected from the cheer team yourself doesn’t mean you need to take it out on others. Get a life.

“You guys are all ****ing morons. Just because a cheerleader rejected you or you got rejected from the cheer team yourself doesn’t mean you need to take it out on others. Get a life.”

Wow, seriously, settle down. Who are you even mad at? Didn’t really seem like anyone attacked you.

^^ And Who are you to assume that we got rejected by a cheerleader? Nice job, really. Calm down.

The cheerleaders at my school are ghetto as ****, and I’m pretty sure 3/4 have had sex with the both the football and basketball teams.

the cheerleaders SUCK at my school. Where do i begin. Somebody even created a fb group a while back titled " __hs needs new cheerleaders!"

And what’s worse is that I love how they think they’re on the top of the world and all that…and how there’s so much unecessary petty drama and fights that go on between them.

Lol Leila is taking this personally

To be honest, I’ve always hated the pep rallies at my school. I’d rather go to class or go home rather than sitting in the gymnasium for over an hour while a long shouting match takes place.

I think I’ve been to one pep rally, at the beginning of 10th grade. Horrible experience. I just stay home on pep rally days now.

The cheerleaders at my school are either ugly or gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…

Gay cheerleaders? Interesting…

“You guys are all ****ing morons. Just because a cheerleader rejected you or you got rejected from the cheer team yourself doesn’t mean you need to take it out on others. Get a life.”

Who here was taking it out on others exactly? From what I’ve seen, you’re the only person whose post has seemed angry.

Moving on, pep rallies are generally considered the worst thing at our school (right up there with school masses). Most of this hate can be attributed to stuffing 1000 kids in a 95 degree gym with no AC. The rest of the hate is just the pep rally but stupid and unexciting.

Pep rallies take too much effort to plan and prepare for, and even after all of the planning, they always suck by default. But usually at my school, people try to buy tickets to the pep rally. Since our classes are shortened on that day to account for it, people who don’t buy the ticket end up in some random classroom doing absolutely nothing. So it’s really whichever you think is the lesser of two evils.

Sorry guys I was drunk when I posted that. But um, yeah. I still kinda mean what I said, just a less extreme version.

hahahahaha!!!
