My friend copied my hw, which I legitly did, and the teacher caught us, gave us a zero and put that we plegirized for the assignment its worth 25 points but it brought my grade down 3 percent. What should I do? Should I tell her the truth or lie to her so I can get those points?

At most schools allowing someone to copy from you, regardless of whether or not you “legitly did” it, is considered academic dishonesty. So, if you allowed him to copy it, you are equally guilty.

Well what should I do? Apologize.?

You might as well, the teacher will appreciate it and would not look down upon you as much throughout the year, which can possibly help a lot. However, I wouldn’t expect any points back; it really depends on the teacher and the school though.

Yes, you should apologize. But you’re not getting those points so let go of that misled dream. You still have half of the burden of cheating. Simply because you didn’t do the copying yourself doesn’t make you any less responsible for the act itself.
