IDOC non-tax filer question

In the process of completing the IDOC, I was confused which non-tax filer form to do:

Student Non-tax Filer's statement or International Student Non-tax filer's statement.

I am not a permanent citizen or citizen of the U.S. but I have lived in U.S. for about 10 years, and my parents pay taxes here.

The instruction for Student Non-Tax Filer's statement says that "this statement should be completed if you are a U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, and/or U.S. resident and are not required to file a 2012 U.S. federal tax return.

The instruction for International Student Non-Tax Filer's Statement says that "this statement should be submitted if you are not a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and do not live in the U.S. and are not required to file a 2012 tax return in your country of residence.

Which one would I fit in?

bump anyone with experience??

Hi! I am in a similar situation. I have a Social Security number but I am not a citizen or permanent resident, but I AM an eligible noncitizen so I did the Student’s Non Tax Filer’s statement. If you don’t have a social, than I would do the international. Good luck!
