I’ve called the College Board several times over the last couple days. Here’s what I’ve found out: their processing center was having majors glitches. To the point where they only fixed it about two weeks ago. They are currently still in the process of processing all the documents submitted through Feb. 15th. All of the colleges are aware and will use the submission date as the date of record. The College Board originally planned to have all the documents submitted through 2/15 processed by Thursday, Feb. 26. But, that didn’t happen. Then they rescheduled for by Friday, Feb. 27. Again, that didn’t happen. When I called them this morning, they wouldn’t give me a “firm” commitment like they had the two previous days. I also found out that the call center and processing center are two different groups.
Now here’s my personal bit of hell:
I’ve submitted all of the documents I need to submit. I submitted one document on the 2/5, two on about 2/10, and two on about 2/11. The four latter documents have already been processed successfully. The customer service reps have no idea what’s going on with the 2/5 document. Apparently, they’ve “escalated” that document on my behalf. The rep. said something about having his supervisor email the processing center. It’s stressing me out so much despite the fact that I know all of my colleges have “soft” deadlines (i.e. they’ll continue to accept applications past the deadlines, but they won’t guarantee I’ll know how much I’ve been awarded when decisions come out).
