If I am a sophomore and not an AEM major, will I be able to add AEM 2210 tomorrow?

during add/drop? Last semester, I tried adding AEM 2210 and it said that I couldn't or that I needed special permission. As a result, I added HADM 2225 - Finance but since Econ 3140 changed its time slot, I can no longer take HADM 2225. So will I be able to add AEM 2210 tomorrow morning or will it still block me on jtf? If it does block me, can I still attend the class and just get permission from the instructor?

Also, another option I have is that I take HADM 2222- Finance but that is for Hotel Majors but it says I can get special permission. But what would they teach differently in 2222 as opposed to 2225 which is for non-majors? The only thing I can think of is that 2222 will focus more on the hospitality industry but couldn't the knowledge still be transferred to any other industry?

Thanks.

you were rejected from AEM 2210 last year because you were a freshman and freshman are not allowed unless they have express permission from the professor. i only know of two freshmen who were allowed to take AEM 2210 spring semester last year, and we were both AEM majors. one of them is graduating in 3 years and is “technically” a sophomore and the other one (me) pestered the professor way back in November and continuously through add/drop to get the professor’s okay.

HOWEVER, if there’s space open in AEM 2210, right now, you’d probably be able to get in. it’s a larger class but preference WILL be given to AEM majors, as it’s a required class and it is now only offered in the fall.
