Hi I’m currently a sophomore planning to self study and take the AP Calculus AB Exam In May. However I was wondering what would happen if I failed the exam and didn’t pass. Will the score go on my record or can it be waived because I didn’t technically take the course? Also if that doesn’t work is it possible for me to not even send the score to colleges and make sure that colleges won’t see it or is it mandatory for colleges to see my score? Thank you very much for answering
AP scores are self reported on the college application;you can report any/all/none. The official score report only goes to the college you will be attending, and you can withhold a score for a fee.
In terms of what appears on your transcript, that is a question for your GC.
I would not bother taking the exam. Won’t you eventually take calculus in HS?
It is up to you to report, colleges don’t see until you report.
