If I took the ACT, do I have to take the SAT2?

Hello. I am currently a 12th grader and I just have a question.
I took the ACT… Does that mean I still have to take the SAT subject test???

Do your schools require an SAT2? If so yes.

Will they take an ACT with W in lieu of SAT 2? If so , then no.

Like the other poster said, it depends on which school you are applying to. Check the school’s admissions requirements webpage to see what tests they require. Some schools will say “recommended”.

Go here for identity of colleges that require, recommend or consider subject tests http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/subject-test-requirements-and-recommendations/ As shown, some that normally require subject tests take ACT in lieu of both SAT and SAT subject tests, but others still require them even if you submit ACT. Also, those that recommend subject tests, which includes many high ranks, typically do so even if you submit ACT, and though you can skip such tests and apply to those colleges, understand that they all have low admission rates, most of their applicants submit high subject test scores, and if you want to provide your best possible application, you should seriously consider taking subject tests.
