If my high schools sends my gpa that includes senior year 1st quarter, will colleges recalculate?

My high school doesn’t rank and adds senior year grades into GPA transcript. Will they still recalculate so that there are no senior year grades included, or will they just recalculate so that PE and electives will be taken out?

It has a few examples of the kinds of things colleges do, but there’s no comprehensive list anywhere and not every school is public with their secret sauce. Some schools will just take whatever GPA your school gives them (like UNC) others will slice and dice extensively.

Yes for the non-ED, you have to send first semester of senior year to colleges, so I assume it counts.

For Regular Decision, your 1st semester senior grades are included universally.

For RD, colleges ask for the first semester senior year grades. Showing an upward tend is what you want. I doubt the cumulative GPA will move much because it will only be one out of a total of seven semesters.
