What would it be? A safety? A match? Or still a reach?

match closer to the safety side.

Sorry..lame scenario..anyone who would only apply to one school belongs in a JC. :P

Actually, in some countries, you can only choose a few and sometimes when you are really poor you can only choose one

I would put a match

Yeah, if I was only allowed to apply to one I most likely would've chosen the University of Washington.

Great school, and I'm fairly positive I'll be accepted.

I would take the risk and apply to Stanford. If you dont apply to your top choice school, you'll never get in.

Ps I got in EA =)

Smith!!!!!

A reach, Columbia University.

P.S. I got in ED.

the answer is obviously a reach

just from the replies on this thread, you can tell that ppl are more inclined to apply to a safety or match. except for the occassional couple hundred really really smart and really really confident and bold students, no ones going to apply to those upper eschalon schools. therefore, elite schools will have no choice but to accept you, to fill their class. a small class means less income for the school, and clearly thats a bad situation.

thus, dont tell anyone, but apply to your reach school with confidence.

i am thinking about the typical student who is above average but right underneath the the top 10% in his/her school, and has the temerity to apply to the Ivy League (i did, and im glad) ;)

i'd apply to the best school in canada tand hte best school in the US ;)

see it works this way all schools in canada for me are pretty much match/will get early letters of acceptance.

Then the top schools in US are better but not my match schools in US so.. ;)

I'd to go my flagship Ohio State, I'm paranoid, and I'd rather go somewhere than no where. And it's a good school. Who needs prestige :)

** celebrian25 **

i went to the alamo bowl and sat in the ohio state section. it was awesome because ohio state kicked oklahomas @$$ 33-7. just to let you know...

that is freaking awesome! I would have loved to be there! :p

I would apply to snafu university

I'd apply to my safety.

I'd apply to a financial safety. In my case UIUC.

I'd apply to Princeton, and, if i got rejected, I'd join the Peace Corps. In fact, that may be my plan of action.

I'd like to say I'd still apply to Notre Dame but that is just not true I'd probably apply to a small LAC in my state, Whitman college

I would take the risk and do MIT, if I don't get in, I'll just do some other cool stuff for a year.

I only applied to one college, Cornell, it was a match/slight reach, I got in ED
