every korean/asian in NJ goes to rutgers for pharmacy.
i'd say go to michigan to get the most out of college and a new experience.
face it, 40% of your graduating HS class will probably be at rutgers,
and since you're doing pharm, you're stuck there for 6 years rather than 4.

yes, but that extra two years gets you a professional degree, instead of just a bachelor's. I say go for the money (like I did :))

it all depends on your personal preference though...do you want to be able to tell your friends that you went to a "better" school? or would you want to save money?--that is assuming you'll be doing similiar cirriculums in either schools

Rutgers is an amazing pharmacy school. Low tuition (for instate), amazing passing rate on the boards, and right in the heart of the pharm. industry. Id gladly pick rutgers pharm over anything.

Haha... I don't see how thats a logical decision but whatever. I mean, if you'll be making the same amount of money after college, why would you choose to put yourself in the position of having to worry about debt? It's not like the experience at Mich or Rutgers will be different, they're both big state schools. If anything, you'll have more of an opportunity to do pharm internships at Rutgers because of all the companies that are located in Central Jersey.

I think people take the issue of $100,000+ debt on this board way way way too lightly. It's not something to push out of your mind when choosing a college unless you are some business mogul. You'll be working yourself out of that debt for many years after you graduate... will it be worth getting to tell your NJ friends that you went to Michigan?

Sorry if I was harsh here haha... but I mean, I don't see any other reason than bragging rights to go to mich. It won't help you get a better job unless I'm mistaken, and I don't think I am.

thats true.
im hoping for some money from umich, which is hard for oos but there's still hoping.
i wouldnt mind going to rutgers and the whole internship makes total sense.
yet i feel umich is going to give me a better college experience.
altho theyre both state schools, i feel umich is more of a schoolspirit, better college life kinda place.

plus, i know nine people in my church that go to rutgers pharm currently.
i kinda want to go somewhere where im not known so i can start ffresh.

i guess it all comes down to personal preference.
