My second attempt at this--

Currently a prospective philosophy major, but I might possibly change my mind to something history- or English- or French-related. A minor in creative writing where possible (or, should I go to BC, psychoanalytical studies...sounds awesome).

ACT: 33
SAT I: 1330/2000 (660 CR/670 M/670 W)
I am going to be retaking the SAT in the fall, and if I don't improve at least a bit I'll send in only my ACT scores.
SAT II: will take in the fall (planning on Lit, Spanish, World History; possibly Math II).

GPA: I'm actually not positive, but I believe it is about a 3.8-3.9 UW.
APs: So far Euro, 4; awaiting grades on US, Lang, and Art History. Will be taking Econ, Psych, Lit, Spanish, Bio, and Stat next year. My schedule has been almost entirely honors and AP courses, the only exception being when such courses aren't offered at my school in a given subject.

ECs/awards/volunteerwork:
-two gold medals from Le Grand Concours (national French exam); award for best score in my chapter this year
-teaching myself Russian
-French Honor Society (well, it's not official, but it's expected. I wasn't eligible this year because I hadn't yet taken the state test)
-Spanish Honor Society
-National Honor Society
-Art Club (3 yrs)
-Literary Magazine (2 yrs; will be co-editor as a senior)
-Film Club (1 yr)
-Russian Club (1 yr)
-volunteer regularly at a local fair-trade store; profits go to artisans, farmers, etc. in underprivileged countries to ensure that they get a fair wage
-painted doors that were auctioned off to benefit Habitat for Humanity (through Art Club)
-one season of JV indoor track, another of outdoor

I have 35-some community service hours from helping out at the main office when I was in seventh grade (not like that's anything to brag about). My only work experience is getting paid by the Landmark Society to weed my grandma's garden. :p

So, places I'm seriously looking at at the moment:
NYU
Barnard
Boston College
Georgetown
American

On the safer end of things are Boston University, Pitt... possibly UVM. I'm also interested in Sarah Lawrence but I don't know loads about it aside from the fact that they disregard SAT scores.

Thanks in advance to anyone who offers insight!
