how about a D in Calc 3 at a community college? even when i have 4 yrs of math credits...will they care a lot about that?

Its okay.
I got an F in physics and they didnt rescind me

^^How soon did u report it? What was ur excuse?

umm around mid june?

well, i was taking physics course at Harvard extension last year.
college results were not what i expected, and just slacked off for that course.
I didnt take the final, and I made up a bs saying
the public transportation came late, and didnt have time to eat, so ate a burrito and became sick, so rather throwing up on the exam with students, rather not take it.
well that worked and now im here. haha

maybe they didnt rescind me because im out of state, more money for them
hope that helps

Admissions work in magical ways.

yeah.
im leaving ucla anyway.

why are you leaving charles?

I'm not so sure about first semester but in my case I got 5 F's and a D- my first semester of senior year. 2nd semester of junior year i had taken around 6 AP classes with A grades so that was quite a drop in grades. I don't really know why but i stopped going to school for 2 months my senior year and kinda messed everything up for me. I never went home and kinda distanced myself from my family and school and just did my own stupid thing. I returned to school a week after second semester after one of my best friends called me and forced me to come to school so I went to see my school counselor and dropped every single one of my classes into normal college prep classes. I sent in my grade and schedule changes to admissions and they replied that as long as I maintain a 3.2 unweighted GPA I'm still in. I know my case is a little extreme but that should give hope to people who aren't doing so well there senior year. I think the admissions committee realized that my first semester senior year grades were an extreme abberation and not a true reflection of my abilities.

Holy hell! And I thought I was burnt out.

^that's insane... u seem borderline troll

no I assure you I'm not a troll. I was in another state of mind during those 2 months and obviously there was a lot more involved than what I posted. I'll be in a triple in Hedrick Hall though next year which is personally preferred over my neighborhood community college which was the expected course following first semester :o)

What about a D in international business? I'l have like 4 As, 1 B, and maybe 1 D because it's a bs class. We haven't done anything all year and all the points are in the final project which isn't going so well.

ill still try to get it but if i really need to get it i have to work hard right now i only have 3 months to get 10 merit badges, attend 12 meetings, 20 camping nights, a service project,
[/quote]
Are you serious? 10 merit badges is a lot in 3 months. I don't know if there are enough events that will give you those, unless they're not Eagle requirements.

12 meetings is easy. 20 camping nights ... hope you're going to summer camp. Does this mean you haven't gone camping ever and you're Life?

For anyone with a D or F, if you're a girl, you can try sucking up. I've seen it work. And it's high school , so grading is very loose and ridiculous. You can even try asking for extra assignments for extra grades. It won't ever work again in the future though, of course. But try that ..

Yeah I agree with BoelterHall. Maybe if you mention to your teacher how this will keep you out of college and stuff, he/she might give you some extra credit assignment to help bump you up. Most teachers are sympathetic when it comes to students not being able to go to college because of THEIR class...

^^my class is a community college class so i can't really suck up...lol and as for the boy scout stuff, i exaggerated my numbers a little its about 4 eagle required with 3 partially done i have to do some non eagle required ones....the reason im behind is because i joined the summer before my freshman year and not 11 or 12 like most little boys...i haven't been actively lately though...and all of the old scouts got eagle already and stopped coming to the meetings
